This bread is so quick and easy, you'll
make it time and again. It tastes wonderful and the texture is divine! What more could you ask for?
Makes 12 servings
1¼ cups
all-purpose flour
1 cup
whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons
sugar
2¼ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
Gather ingredients and preheat oven to 375°.
Spray a 4 x 8-inch loaf pan with nonstick
cooking spray.
In
a large bowl, combine both types of flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Mix
well.
Add beer.
Stir until foam subsides and all ingredients are moistened.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
(For a delicious variation that tastes
like rye bread, add ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
and 1 teaspoon caraway seeds to the dry ingredients.)
