Makes 12 servings
1¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2¼ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
Gather ingredients and preheat oven to 375°.
Spray a 4 x 8-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine both types of flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Stir until foam subsides and all ingredients are moistened.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
(For a delicious variation that tastes like rye bread, add ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder and 1 teaspoon caraway seeds to the dry ingredients.)
